Lance Ardo McDonald, son of Paul and Kathleen McDonald of Springfield, Missouri, was born July 28, 1960. He passed away at age 52, at St. Louis University Hospital on November 18, 2012 of a brief illness.
Lance was a 1978 graduate of Central High School and was employed by Kraft Foods for 34 years. He was known for his work ethic, his smile, and infectious laughter. A loving father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, Lance enjoyed sporting a Panama Jack hat with a Hawaiian print band. Upon his pending retirement in 2 years, he and Dana were looking forward to buying a lake house at Table Rock Lake where he had spent so many happy weekends with his family and friends.
Lance was a person who loved deeply and enjoyed life. He posted the following on his Facebook page: “I am proud to say I was baptized at age 13 at Glenstone Baptist Church, along with my grandma.” At the time of his death, he was living in the family home of 65 years.
Preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dixie Painter, Lance is survived by his fiancé, Dana Kersey of the home, his beloved daughter, Audra Jones and her husband, Keegan , of Overland Park, Kansas, his sister, Debbie McDonald, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, his niece and family, Michele Cannon-Davis, husband, Andrew, children Ryan, Warren, and A.J. of Spring, TX, and his nephew and family, Michael and Beth Painter of Marshall , TX and their children Nichole and Matthew Painter, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
He will be greatly missed.
