Lola Ledgerwood , 96 , of Springfield , left this life to meet our Lord, Savior and Creator on January 31, 2013 . Lola was born to Ida and Ed Ledbetter on April 11, 1916 in Oregon County , Missouri. Lola graduated from Thomasville High School. Lola married William Ledgerwood on March 10, 1937 in Oregon County. Lola was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She loved to garden and travel, she was a member of the Hillcrest Garden Club. Her family will always remember their Memorial Day Camping trips. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Roy (Bill) Ledgerwood; her parents Ed and Ida Ledbetter; one grandson Kenneth Allen Martin; one son-in-law Ira Purvis; one brother, Noel Ledbetter; and one sister, Vesta Stengle. She is survived by her children, Willa JoAnn Martin and husband Fred of Holts Summit, Missouri, Wilma Purvis of Springfield, Missouri , and Daniel Noel Ledgerwood and wife Bobbye of Lancaster, PA; four Grandchildren, two great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren . Funeral services will be 1:00PM on February 8, 2013, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12:00PM until 1:00PM February 8, 2013in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Springfield.
