Lucy May Sayers 85, of Willard passed away, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in her home. Lucy was born May 28, 1927 in Fordland to Lucian and Allie Knapp. She was united in marriage to Arthur Floyd Sayers on January 29, 1951. Lucy enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, and cooking. Her family will always remember her hot rolls and cinnamon rolls. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; Clarence Knapp; her grandson, Willie McGeough. She is survived by her six children, Jess Cornelison, Sharon Sisney, Brenda Hawkins, Gary Sayers, Marty Sayers, and Lisa McGeough; one sister, Ruby Thompson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. A celebration of Lucy’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in Danforth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice.
