Alan Anthony Satunas, age 64, of Blue Eye, Missouri, passed away February 29, 2016. He was born February 10, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Anthony and Alice Satunas. He was joined in marriage to Marlene (Germann) Satunas on September 12, 1970. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Alan was a graduate of Farragut High School in Chicago, Illinois, and dedicated 36 years as a hardworking railroad employee for the Belt Railway, Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railway, Indiana Southern Railway, finally retiring as General Manager of Missouri & Northern Arkansas Railway. He had a passion for spending time with and providing for his family. Alan enjoyed fishing, boating, woodworking, watching sports and helping others around his Twin Island Estates Community. He will be dearly missed as a beloved relative and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene of the home; two sons, Alan J. (Bobbi Jo) Satunas of Knoxville, Illinois, and Andy (Amanda) Satunas of Homer Glen, Illinois; and five grandchildren, Alex, Anthony, Andrew, Abigail and Joseph. Alan is also survived by four sisters, Donna (Dan) Moozak of Manhattan, Illinois, Linda (Charlie) Ribich of Joliet, Illinois, Connie (Jim) Sekulski of Chicago Ridge, Illinois, and Cathy Satunas of Louisville, Kentucky; a brother, Joey Satunas, of Bridgeview, Illinois; many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews; and numerous beloved friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Alan A.
