Donald Lee Stuart, age 77, of Branson, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016, at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 30, 1938, in Violet Hill, Arkansas, the son of Clyde and Beatrice Stuart. Don was joined in marriage March 24, 1986, to Darlene “Sue” (Plantz) Stuart. Arrangements and funeral services are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Don served our country in the US Air Force. He was a production coordinator with Alcoa Aluminum in Washington State, retiring after 30 years with the company. He and Sue raised Missouri Fox Trotter horses. Don was an avid reader, Civil War and WWII buff. He enjoyed the outdoors, farming, animals, birdwatching and golf. Most of all, Don loved his family and his relationship with Jesus Christ, who he came to know on June 8, 2012.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Melba Jean Stuart; and a stepson, Jim Lynch.

Don is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sue Stuart of the home; a son, Steve Stuart and wife Mindi of Wenatchee, Washington; two daughters, Stephanie Hickman of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Synthia Eddy and husband Don of Omak, Washington; his beloved step-daughters, Candi May of Springfield, Missouri, Catherine Fitzpatrick and husband Will of Ava, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dave Stuart and wife Sally of Chelan, Washington; an uncle, Claud Stuart of Springfield, Missouri; a niece, Brandy Jordon; a nephew, Andy Stuart; as well as several cousins.

Graveside services for Don will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, at Thomas Cemetery in Norwood, Missouri. His grandson, Jared Trostel will be officiating.
