Nathanael Ray Madden

March 5, 1978 – October 15, 2016
Age: 38
Residence: Springfield, MO
Formerly of: Springfield, MO Nathanael Ray Madden was born March 5, 1978.  He is survived by his wife Jennifer (Nolte) Madden, his sons Anthony Madden and Kevin Payne, his sister Kiersten Stanzel, brother in law Chase Stanzel and his parents Ted and Shirley Madden; his sister-in-law Hannah (Nolte)  Oliphant and her spouse Joel, his brother-in-law Robert Nolte and his spouse Charlotte, several nieces and nephews and granddaughter and his in-laws Kevin and Susan Nolte.  Nathan graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1996.  He received an associate’s degree in religion from Indiana Wesleyan in 2014.  At the time of his death he was employed by TeleTech and diligently took calls from members of the Armed Forces regarding their banking.
Nate had a compassion for serving the Lord.  He was a member of the Mission Outreach team at Wesley.  Once a month he served food at Cook’s Kettle.  He spent long hours at church on Sundays either in the nursery with the children or in the gathering area greeting visitors.  When he worked in the media booth he enjoyed hearing the pastors adapt their sermons to three different groups of individuals and he took pride in getting those words to the hymns on the screen at the right time.  He liked NASCAR, movies, the Chiefs, the Cardinals, Duck Dynasty and his dog Layla.  But most of all he loved his beautiful wife and son.  One month ago Nathan and Jennifer celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary with a renewal of their vows.  We thank you Lord for that celebration.
Nathan recently was approved to continue his work toward becoming a pastoral candidate for the United Methodist Church Missouri Conference.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wesley UMC 922 W. Republic Rd. Springfield, MO  65807.
The Madden family grieves the loss of Nathanael after his stroke, but his earthly body lives on through organ donation.  A memorial service to celebrate Nate’s life will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 19, 2016 in Wesley UMC with Pastor Scott Bailey-Kirk and Pastor Stacie Williams officiating.
