Norma JeanVance passed away September 17, 2013 at Forsyth, Missouri.  She was born March 1, 1925 to Eldrege and Velma Ledford in Macon, Missouri.  She graduated from Macon High School in May, 1943.  During  World War II, Norma served in the Women’s Marine Corps.  Later Norma attended the Kansas City Art Institute.  In June 1948 Norma married Richard Lee Vance.  They made their home in San Anselmo, California.  Norma held an interest in drawing and painting from her childhood through the years they lived in California.


 She was preceded  by Richard Vance, her husband, and Ethan Vance, a grandson, and her sisters, Louise McKitrick and Alphadean Ledford.  She leaves her son, Mark Vance, a grandson, Eric Vance, both living in California, a niece, Bonnie Ewing, a nephew, David Ewing of California and a nephew, Mike McKitrick of North Carolina, and many cousins.


Norma will be interred at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield,

Missouri. Donations may be made to Hospice Compassus at Branson, MO.
