James “Richard” Lasater, age 68, left this life Sunday, April 7, 2019, at his home with family by his side. He entered this life July 26, 1950, in Harrison, Arkansas, the son of Jay and Lula Mae (Smith) Lasater. He was joined in marriage March 8, 1975, to Jane Ann Siler. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Richard was handy with fixing engines, working on cars and riding his lawnmower. He enjoyed cutting wood with his son and watching westerns and the Andy Griffth Show. Richard loved his family and his dogs. Richard was crazy in love with his wife of 45 years. His passing will leave an empty space in many hearts for years to come.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Lasater; sister, Brenda Thompson; and grandson, Will Davenport.
His is survived by his wife, Jane Lasater of the home; son, Jamie (Donna) Lasater of Marble Falls, Arkansas; son, Joey (Lori) Lasater of Harrison, Arkansas; grandchildren: Austin, Amber, Kylee, Lilli, Makyah, Jaci, Canyon, Brecken, and Navaeh; five great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Lasater of Harrison, Arkansas; sister, Debbie (Steve) Ayers of Lampe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
A family graveside gathering will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday April 28, 2019, at the Shaddox Cemetery. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Legacy Hospice of North Arkansas and to Elaine Arthur for the kindness and wonderful care for Richard.
