Adrienne Pinkerton Tucker

September 10, 1930 – July 28, 2020
Age: 89
Residence: Branson, MO
Formerly of: Amarillo, TX

Adrienne Pinkerton Tucker left this world on July 28, 2020, with her daughters and daughter-in-law by her side.  Born on September 10, 1930, Adrienne or “Babe”,”Biddie”,”Momi” was small in stature but large in independence. Not to adhere to what society subscribed, she hunted, fished and rode horses. She refused to leave her college engineering class, even when accosted by the professor, “This course is no place for a girl.” She chose to breastfeed her four babies, after the doctor’s scoff, “You are going to feed a baby on THOSE?”

Stan Tucker and Adrienne graduated from college in the same year.  Marriage began with a honeymoon in the mountains and they were on the move for more than 55 years. She was a partner in his career. Once when they worked for the same company she quit when he became her supervisor. Adrienne did not want to answer to Stan, the boss.

Momi was proud of her Scotch/Irish ancestry: thrifty, honest, practical and a saver of coupons. She had an internal compass for navigation. GPS was not required with “Momi Positioning Station” to provide directions. In each state or country, they lived, she always knew which direction was North. Eventually, they found true North in Pleasant Hope.

An only child her entire life, she had a special bond with animals, often named after their physical characteristics. Her latest buddies were Big Red and Spot. Stan and Adrienne’s family included hundreds of animals. “Mr. Peacock” continues to protect the farm today.

In death, she joins her husband, Stan, first born Creagh, and daughter, Leanne.  Daughters Lori and Judy, son-in-law Chip, daughter-in-law Evelyn, loved grandchildren: Tarah, Rolan, Jared, Rylee, Gabe, Cera, Kendall, Baron and Brennon, and four great-children continue to find joy in Pinochle, perch and okra memories.

A Celebration of Life is planned in the future. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence, please visit
