Larry P. Coffey, age 71, of Branson, Missouri passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015. He was born August 8, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee. Larry was the son of Jerry and Nadia (McMullen) Coffey. He married Debra Harris on September 2, 1967. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Larry served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He was an independent insurance agent for 32 years, fueled aircraft for United Airlines, worked in the foundry at Ford Motor Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Branson. Larry worked in ministry with the Gideons International since 1992 and the A.W.A.N.A. Program at First Baptist Church for 17 years. His hobby was collecting license plates from all over the world. He loved the time he spent with his grandkids. Most of all, Larry Coffey loved serving the Lord. His family will miss him dearly until they see him again.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 47 years Debra Coffey of the home; a daughter, Laura Coffey and her fiancé John Siegert of Branson, Missouri; a son, Jason Coffey and wife Mei of Vienna, Virginia; five grandchildren, Olivia, Jolie, Kylie, Hayden and Whitmore; two brothers, John Coffey and wife Toni of Michigan, and Durwood Coffey also of Michigan; a sister, Kathy LaFollette and husband Mike of Michigan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Larry will be 12:00 pm Saturday, April 25, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Branson, Missouri, with visitation prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:45 am. Pastors Neil Franks and Chuck Silva will be officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Coffey, Mike Howie, Carl Sparks, Bill Keys, Aaron Penrod and Doug Main.
